Clarendon College Cross Country runner Hector Beccera, a freshman from Harlingen, TX, beat his own time by 46 seconds to set a new record in the 8k. 

Beccera recorded a time of 26:36 at the South Plains Invitational this past Saturday.

 He previously had set a school record in the 8k at Aggie Showdown two weeks ago with a time of 27:22.
