MC & WTC Volleyball joined forces to observe breast cancer awareness October 14th
The Midland College Lady Chaparrals and Western Texas College Lady Westerners joined forces to highlight breast cancer awareness. The event was held in conjunction with their conference match on Wednesday, October 14th @ 7:00 p.m. at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center on the Midland College campus.
Both teams as well as many in attendance, donned Breast Cancer Awareness shirts to signify their support for this worthwhile cause. The teams also participated in a ceremonial "first serve" with a pink and white autographed volleyball, which was presented to MC president Dr. Steve Thomas prior to the match.
A second autographed volleyball will be donated to the local chapter of the American Cancer Society for use in their fund raising activities this year.
This was the third annual BCA event for the Midland College volleyball team. Other such events will take place at Midland College Lady Chap basketball and softball games later in the year.
