Dawson,
a San Antonio native, played for MCC in 2000 before transferring to Midwestern
State University. He has spent the last five seasons playing for the Austin
Toros of the NBA D-League and has also spent time playing in Asia and South
America.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;p&gt;
The Spurs called up Dawson following the injury of Tiago Splitter. In his debut
game Tuesday night, Dawson scored nine points and pulled down six rebounds in
31:41 on the floor.&lt;/p&gt;
