The El Paso Community College men's team was named The Academic Team of the Year by the National Junior College Cross Country Coaches Association with a GPA of 3.851 for the five-member qualifying team in the fall 2012 semester. Michael Grijalva and Angel De La Cruz also earned individual academic honors with a semester GPA of 4.00.  There were 22 schools ranked with Hesston College (KS) finishing 2^nd with a 3.833 team GPA.

Clarendon College Cross Country Coach Zack Leggett participated in the Dallas Marathon on Sunday, December 9, and finished 28th out of a field of 4,873 full marathon finishers.

Leggett ran the 26.2-mile event in 2:56:26, beating his personal goal of 3:00:00. 

Leggett said he enjoyed running in a marathon of this size –over 25,000 participants in total.

LEVELLAND, Texas - The No. 3 ranked South Plains College Texans and No. 4 ranked Lady Texans blasted their Region 5 competition Saturday morning en route to sweeping the team titles Saturday morning. Natoya Goule led the Lady Texans with a second place finish as the SPC women took six of the top 10 places. On the men's side, Kemoy Campbell dominated the race and his teammates also took care of business as all seven Texans finished within the top 10.
