Gigi Mazionyte has continued on to her next dream. The first was to come to America and play basketball, and she did so by being a Weatherford College Lady Coyote for two years. Then came playing at the NCAA Division I level, which she did at the University of Texas for two seasons. And now, she's playing professionally in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.

The South Plains College Texan basketball team will enter the 2014-15 basketball season as the favorites within the conference, as indicated by the recent Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) coach's poll.

The Frank Phillips College Women's Basketball Team was recognized as an NJCAA All-Academic Team for 2013-14 compiling a 3.53 team grade point average.

The Lady Plainsmen had the third highest team GPA among NJCAA Women's Basketball Teams with Miles Community College earning a 3.59 GPA and Snow College finishing with a 3.57. Williston State College also registered a 3.53 and Western Wyoming Community College rounded out the top five with a 3.52.
