NEWTON, KAN.
Three Odessa College golfers finished in the top five at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I national championship preview tournament to lead the Wranglers to victory Tuesday. Odessa College finished with a 305 on the second day at Sand Creek Station Golf Club, giving the team a three-round total of 910 and an eight-stroke victory.

The Odessa College men's golf team is ranked No. 4 in the first National Junior College Athletic Association Division I poll of the fall. The Wranglers opened the season by placing third at the Lubbock Christian Invitational. They then tied for fourth at the High Country Shootout and took second at the Andrews Collegiate/Am.

The McLennan Community College men's and women's golf teams are ranked in the latest Golfstat polls.

The Highlanders are ranked seventh. Western Texas holds the top spot, followed by Midland in second and Odessa in third. Texarkana (10th) and Paris (17th) are the other Texas colleges ranked in the poll.

On the women's side, the Highlassies are ranked fourth. Western Texas is ranked first, followed by Redlands in second and Mesa in third. Tyler (seventh) and Texarkana (eighth) round out the Texas colleges ranked in the poll.

Golfstat National Poll has the new Clarendon College Golf Team ranked #2 in the Nation. The first poll which was relased on September 29th put the Bulldog Golf Team in second behind National Powerhouse South Mountain Community College.

ANDREWS
Chris Bell hit 200 balls on the eve of the 25th Annual Andrews Collegiate/Am Golf Tournament and the Odessa College sophomore said he couldn't recall one good shot.
