Ranger Men's Soccer wins Region V Tourney title

The Ranger College men's soccer team claimed the Region V Tournament championship in exciting fashion Wednesday in Cleburne.

Ranger beat Western Texas College 3-2 in the championship game in double overtime. Ranger scored with 39 seconds remaining in the second sudden-death overtime period. They had trailed 2-1 in the second half before rallying to tie things up at 2-2 at the end of regulation.

Western Texas advanced to the championship match thanks to a 3-0 win over Hill College in the semifinals on Monday.

Ranger College moves on to the District Tournament in Topeka, Kan. where they will face Barton College Thursday, Nov. 2 at 4 p.m. You can watch the game live at this LINK.
