Weatherford College finishes sixth at nationals
The No. 5 Weatherford College men's tennis team concluded its post-season run on Thursday, maintaining its sixth-place spot at the NJCAA Men's Tennis Tournament at Collin College in Plano.
The Coyotes improved by eight positions, placing 14th in last year's event.
Benjamin Asker and Julian Blainey won the Flight 3 consolation final matchup against Pablo Garcia and Tomas Kurz from Eastern Florida State College, taking the 8-5 victory.
Andres Serrano lost the Flight 3 consolation final versus Johan Mottlau of Eastern Florida with a score of 8-5.
Matteo Cardoso lost 9–8 in the Flight 1 consolation final against Haruki Okude of Cowley College.
