Jenkins, Chyr share NTJCAC Baseball Player of the Week honors

Samuel Jenkins of McLennan Community College and Brody Chyr of McLennan Community College shared the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Baseball Position Player of the Week honors.

A freshman centerfielder from Dallas, Texas, Jenkins batted .500 for the week with 2 doubles, a triple and a home run. He drove in 7 runs, while scoring 8 of his own. He had 6 walks and 4 stolen bases in the week, and finished a single shy of a cycle in the Highlanders' 13-2 run-rule win over Cisco.

A sophomore leftfielder from Parker Colorado, Chyr hit .692 with 3 doubles and 6 RBI. He also scored 5 runs, drew 4 walks and had 3 stolen bases en route to helping the Highlanders claim 3 wins over Cisco
