Honey Claims Final DAC Pitcher of the Week

Dallas College North Lake's Jayden Honey was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

A freshman right-hander from Waco, Texas, Honey went 1-0 with seven strikeouts in a game he allowed no earned runs, no walks and two hits in an 8-3 win over Dallas College Richland to help the Blazers finish third in the DAC.

Honey improved to 3-2 with 39 strikeouts and a 4.91 earned run average in 40.1 innings and 14 appearances this season.

North Lake (27-29) meets Dallas College Cedar Valley (18-34) at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the single-elimination round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Tournament at Dallas College Eastfield. The tournament will air on the DAC Sports Network.
