Jackson, Mauricio earn NTJCAC Softball Players of the Week honors

Joni Jackson of Weatherford College and Madison Mauricio of Hill College were selected the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference's Softball Players of the Week.

A freshman catcher from Breckenridge, Texas, Jackson is the NTJCAC Position Player of the Week. She batted .688 for the week with 2 doubles, 3 home runs and 10 RBI. She also scored 5 runs.

A freshman from Rockport, Texas, Mauricio is the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Week. She went 4-0 in the week with 3 comlete game, including a complete game shutout against Ranger College. Overall, she posted an ERA during the week of 0.95 in 22 innings. She finished the week with 11 strikeouts and just 4 walks.
