Tarver Named First Team All-American
Dallas College Richland men's basketball's Jase Tarver was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III First Team All-American.
A freshman forward from Lancaster, Texas, Tarver averaged 14.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals and just under one block per game. He scored a season-high 36 points in a 99-88 win at Dallas College Cedar Valley Dec. 10, and had 20 or more points in 11 games. Tarver had a season-best 14 rebounds in two games, and grabbed 10 or more boards in 16. He had three steals in four games, and blocked three shots in a 95-86 win over Dallas College North Lake Jan. 17.
Tarver is one of four Dallas Athletic Conference players who earned All-America recognition, joining Dallas College North Lake's Romiel Carter on the First Team. Dallas College Eastfield's Braydon Campbell was a Third Team All-American, and teammate Martez James was an Honorable Mention All-American
