Iredale, Lorigan net WJCAC Softball Player of the Week honors

Angelique Iredale of Odessa College and Jayda Lorigan of Odessa College were selected the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Softball Players of the Week.

A freshman shortstop from Australia, Iredale is the WJCAC Position Player of the Week. For the week, she batted .818 with a double, a triple and a home run with 10 runs batted in. She also scored 8 runs, drew 2 walks and had 2 stolen bases.

A sophomore pitcher from Australia, Lorigan is the WJCAC Pitcher of the Week. Overall, she went 2-0 in the week. In her two wins, she worked 9 innings, allowing just 3 hits and no earned runs. She finished with 22 strikeouts and just 1 walk.
