Region V has announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 14-20.

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Jamia Miller of Temple College.

The 5-6 sophomore guard from Round Rock, TX had a great week with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 6 steals in two wins. She hit 4 three-pointers in the first quarter of a win over Cisco. She shot 50 percent behind the three-point line and 44 percent from the field for the week.

The Western Junior College Athletic Conference Player of the Week is Kinsley Choate of Frank Phillips College.

The 5-7 sophomore guard from Panhandle, TX was instrumental in the No. 11 ranked Lady Plainsmen extending their winning streak to 14 games with two more wins last week. She finished the week with 44 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. She connected on eight 3-pointers for the week and was 16 of 26 from the field.
